A local guide told the most amusing story. As we drove past a newly built wall, she said that the area used to be populated with shabby houses. The government then decided that it was an eyesore and decided to relocate the dwellers before the 2008 Olympics. Difficult task it may have been, but they managed to persuade everyone to move.
